Become a Volunteer

Become a volunteer at the Crafters Lounge! We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to help with various tasks, such as summer camp activities, craft creation and preparation, back-end organization, and teaching skills to youth. Contribution will foster a vibrant and engaging space for our community. If you’re passionate about crafts and making a positive impact, we be thrilled to have you us! Volunteer opportunity for ages 14 and up. Having volunteers helps us provide more options for our community.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Teaching Youth

Are you skilled at a particular craft  and passionate about sharing your skills? We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help teach and inspire youth through hands-on crafting!

Examples are knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, embroidery, cross stitch, clay work, paper crafts ect. Materials for classes supplied by Crafters Lounge.

Summer Camp Support

We are looking for enthusiastic crafty teens that can help support our younger campers complete their projects. You will also have the opportunity to create crafts and lead the campers through your craft.

Craft Preparation

At the Crafters Lounge we do not buy prepackaged crafts. All our crafts are created and put together by our us. As you can image when there is multiple birthday parties and camps going on have some help with preparation would help immensely! We also welcome creativity and new craft creations.  

Organize Donations

We are very grateful for those who donate crafting and sewing supplies. It helps to keep our cost low. That being said there is a lot of time that goes into keeping those donations organized and available for use.

Why volunteer with us?

  • Earn school or work volunteer hours

  • Give opportunities for the local youth to learn skills they may not learn elsewhere

  • Learn new skills yourself

  • Use of various crafting tools

  • For every 4 hours of volunteer time you get 1 hour of craft time in the lounge

  • Potentially create the walk-in craft of the month

Fill out our Volunteer Application Form. This for will give us a better understanding of what kind of volunteering you are looking for.

Submit your Criminal Record Check. As most of our volunteer work is with youth we require everyone to be checked.  

03.

Come for a interview. After we have received your application form and your CRC we with get in contact with you to book a interview.
